A Few Voter Info/Voter Protection Resources
Posted by Laura Reznick on November 7th, 2006
Just wanted to point out a few handy sites in case people have trouble figuring out where to vote, need other voting information, or run into difficulties.
First, the League of Women Voters has a site called Vote411, a great resource for voter information. One handy feature is a Polling Place Locator that appears to cover most or all of the country. You can also search by state and topic for information about ID requirements, polling place details, provisional voting, contact info for state elections officials, and other useful information.
Also check out our own Voter Protection Page, which is designed to ensure that voters know their rights before going to the polls.
If you have any problems voting, please call our live voter protection hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683)
More links coming soon.
