MD Senate Race Contest Tightens Up: Lt. Gov. Steele Leads NAACP Pres. Mfume 45-44%

Maryland Lt/ Gov. Michael Steele is polling neck-and-neck with Democratic NAACP President Kweisi Mfume, with Steele nominally leading, 45% to 44%. Rep. Ben Cardin now leads Steele by just six points, 47% to 41%. In February Cardin had led Steele by fourteen points. Steele is viewed favorably by 55% of likely voters, Mfume by 51%, Cardin by 52%.
