Las Cruces Sun-News - Congressional candidates Wilson and Madrid face off on live TV
ALBUQUERQUE — Republican Rep. Heather Wilson and Democratic challenger Patricia Madrid mapped out their differences Tuesday night in the only televised debate in the campaign for New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District seat.
It’s one of the most hotly contested congressional campaigns anywhere as Democrats seek to regain control of Congress, made more so after recent polling showed Madrid apparently moving ahead of the four-term incumbent.
